The relationship between chaos and sleep via dreams is complex chaos. Now I’m wondering what kind of sleep will tonight bring, Thanks for provoking thought.
βDreams keep awake
Sleep alive with dreamsβ – that line is literally perfect!! This whole piece ie stunning. I absolutely love it, the soothing, serene and deep flow is just refreshing to the soul!!! You have truly captured the beauty and paradoxes of sleep so amazingly. Well done, my friend!! π€π€
Rright??? It used to overwhelm me when these no difference in waking, sleeping and dreaming phases first hit me, not knowing what where I am, but now I have become comfortable in welcoming their rich imprints. Thank you so much for such lovely beautiful thoughtful response and appreciation dear Ace.
Makes me think of my vivid dreams…which I often feel like I’m both awake and asleep…Definitely not great sleep on many of those nights. But when I go gently about the day without pushing myself and brain so hard, the night generally comes with a gentle ease. π Beautiful photo and poem!
It is an absolute delight to hear from you! Those kind of dreams feel like a continuation of waking life for me, except they are very profound and hold a lot of information for me if I patiently allow them to unravel for me. You describe so perfectly, it so important to surrender to the flow gently and allow it to carry us instead of struggling to get through or fall asleep. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and kind appreciation π
You’re very welcome π I agree those dreams if we surrender to them, they certainly hold a lot of valuable insight and clarity we sometimes can seem to find in our waking life…usually because we’re thinking too much with our brain, rather than listening to our intuition.
Thank you so much for acknowledging this poem so beautifully ππΌπ yes I agree, mine too, I find it magical how we are awake to our sleep and dream ways :)))
Iβm reading this elegant piece of writing as I am about to go asleep, so now I am very curious as to what awaits. Iβll be pleased with whatever experience happens. I feel like smiling π
This photograph of the horizon sits so nicely holding this poem. Above and below are similar and yet different, like sleeping and waking, and day and night. These divisions of experiences can be filled with each otherβs elements. Lovely, Pragalbha
That you feel like smiling gives me a content smile my friend :)) Wishing you enriching waves of peace and magic through sleep, dream and your day β£οΈβ¨
I truly appreciate your description of how you see the photo – that’s how it came to me, and perhaps the waves might be the dreams/life force trying to wake me to my knowing, through the night and day – and then everything just mixes up in each other in our experience, for it is beyond our mind what really unfolds …thank you for joining me in this contemplation and sharing your thoughts so beautifully πβ¨
Thank you so much for appreciating the photo π True, I appreciate you bringing those words of wisdom, so much repetition in different ways is important to truly let go and find the calm.
I can’t even say why, but these lines “Float away into the day
It will carry you back” really pulled me in. Maybe it feels dream like, or ocean like, or really says how it is. No matter the day, it always ends in night. I’m not sure, just sharing my thoughts on it. π
Your thoughts are exactly how I felt about this poem. I even questioned if I should publish it as I felt that kind of unsure π That line just brought to mind the feeling of waves in ocean coming to shore or receding back, floating in a dream …and a promised night after the day. How deeply I felt a smile at your comment :)))) Thank you so much for sharing β£οΈβ¨
Wonderful poem on sleep chaos. Float away into the day and it will carry you back. Loved these lines they are so profound. Once you float away in peace and silence then the day will definitely be carrying you away from chaos and one can sleep peacefully. Awesome poem. Loved it.
It feels so fulfilling to read that line back from you along with your beautiful description of it. I had a vague feeling of what I wanted to say and you explained it exactly. Thank you very much always for your thoughtful support and wisdom ππΌππ
Surrender. I love this poem, Pragalbha. We are so conditioned to desire this and that, yet, when we learn to give that up, or maye better language is, practice giving that up, surrendering, we get back so much more. Love it.β€οΈπ€π
Thank you for bringing to light the underlying theme in the poem – Surrender to sleepless nights and whatever the dreams bring into the day. How amusing to myself when I struggled to want to fall asleep at times, when the life force wanted to shine bright and make me awake to my knowing π Practice giving up and we get back so much more, you said it beautifully. Thank you for your thoughtful appreciation ππΌπ
Youβre most welcome, my friend. I love your comment about sleep and the life force. I totally understand this. Have a beautiful rest of your week. β€οΈπ
I’ve been thinking a lot about dreaming, too, the mysterious, often disturbing, but possibly enlightening other world. “Dreams keep awake”– this makes me think of how they cling to my thoughts all day long, if they were vivid. I believe there’s a lot to learn about and from them. BTW beautiful picture as per usual.
Yes dreams are so interesting if we get curious π I appreciate reading your thoughts on this, thank you very much for taking the time and also your kind appreciation of the pictures ππΌπβ¨
These ideas have been an interesting mix in my contemplation time and again dear Radhika, I wondered if anything made sense as I posted this poem π Thank you for appreciating and the picture too.
Love the play of words. Sleep, dreams, and being awake…each state can be paired with the other and it still remains as meaningful, but with a different meaning. “Clarity exceeds capacity, calmness becomes chaos” that is so often the case! π
Thank you so much! This contemplation has been fascinating to me time and again. It took me a while to learn to appreciate clarity for what it is and not feel like I have to do something with it. There is so much gratitude available exactly where I am, so why this need for anything else. Also lately I realized chaos is good, it is the shifts that I wanted anyway, why this need for calmness … π
Thank you for highlighting what you did.
Ah what a beautiful energy you brought to this my friend, I loved how you called this subtle irony! I wasn’t sure while posting if I’d make sense to anyone, so appreciate your feedback truly. Thank you :)))
These are the words I want to reflect back to you,
“Allow it
To draw you out from within”
Your words are your treasure. They are there for you each time to accept the blank page and allow them to flow.
Thank you for sharing your journey.
May love and peace land on your today.
Ali
I trust you to go deeper truly to shine your light – that’s how it felt for only you have highlighted that line until now, bringing it back to me with what it meant. Thank you so much for your beautiful kindness and presence ππΌπ
You are very generous thank you ππΌ this poem felt like something coming together floating through me, I felt unsure if it made sense, yet posted it anyway. I feel grateful when it is appreciated.
It’s absolutely beautiful and haunting, I must say. There have been words like that which I never posted and the various emotions floats, like you said Pragalbha π
It feels good to know that this is recognizable π I was unsure if it made sense or just chaos through words, while posting. Thank you very much for your kind words!
Dreams often remind me that there’s so much more to our beings than our conscious thoughts/feelings and daily activities in waking life. You’ve expressed this notion so well, my friend!
This was an absolutely beautiful poem. You masterfully wielded the stylistic device of ‘contrast’ throughout to create a poem with deep meaning and purpose. Thanks for sharing β€
It is a delight and joy to have your beautiful response and such happiness that you find the deep meaning conveyed in this. Thank you ever so much my new friend, much Love to you.
I absolutely love this. Thank you for this refreshing look at the chaos of sleep. Blessings and honor, Christine
