What really died?

A lot had to die

A lot died a whole lot
Before
The first Poetry was born

The Process of Poetry
Became the new Life

I wonder what really happened
When the poetry Itself died

A lot of Space opened up

A lot of Space a whole lot
Before
The new Beginning is born

The Weeping Soul

Aged Beauty

Aged Beauty by Vikram Phale

We came to birth as babies crying
We grew up to live as humans smiling
Is there anyone else though
Who feels as if the soul is forever weeping?

No respite from this eternal seeking
That seeking itself is the source of ecstasy
The soul is as if the sage aged beauty
Wouldn’t want it otherwise just to make it easy

As the human yearns a sense of belonging
The soul knows what really is the longing
Is there anyone else who feels
As though the soul is forever weeping?

Innocence & its faces

Innocence is the face of a baby born
So also that of a person reborn
Each one has faced the struggle
To show up in the world

In their painful journey of birthing & re-birthing
Gut wrenching twisting and turning
Courage and surrender both have shown
To be able to breathe
And cry a cry of relief

That innocence has known survival
Not a scent of the vices of the world
The reborn must keep the intent
The purity if they wish to retain
To be alive & born to new moments
To die to each that has gone by …

We are blessed with many rebirths
In this lifetime alone
Smile and welcome each one with joy!
