Some glimpses on our planet make me feel blissed and blessed for being alive here. They fill me with pride, glory, and humility in my being. They drop my felt sense experience of living into a sense of nothingness, in a way that I become present to life in ways indescribable. They stun me into silence and a childlike surprise for being chosen for these unexpected prizes for being in the right place at the right time, in the most undramatic manner.
This is how I feel about my visit to Maui, Hawaii at the end of December 2021. I expected warm waters, pristine beaches, forest hikes, and beautiful sunsets but didn’t imagine encountering these few other things:
I used to wake up in the early dark hours in anticipation of catching the sky colors at sunrise. I witnessed this instead. (It was difficult to pick just one picture of each kind. These are simple mobile clicks)

As if this was not enough, a totally unknown (to me) phenomenon was sent my way!

The picture is taken at night setting, the sky was much darker than seen here. Photo by Manish Doshi

Almost full circle daytime rainbow at the same location. Photo by myself
These phenomena at the ocean along with other soul-nourishing experiences made me pinch myself for why I deserved this perfection of life moments. I met the ocean in various moods – calm & clear, fun and playful, and yes amidst all this beauty I had a major emotional meltdown as if wanting to deeply feel my worldly humanness again. As much as the Ocean mirrored the former qualities with slow rhythmic waves at the shore, it also joined me with thunderous unruly waves for the latter mood. The ocean showed me how all kinds of waves are beautiful – it is just breathtaking how we get to have all our humanly ways of being. I returned forever in gratitude.

A short poem that emerged for an early morning with the waves:
The Ocean lends me a sense
Of power and beauty
Quite Unapologetically
The waves within
Are as playful or then unruly
I allow them all to flow
Quite Un-shyly
I celebrate with you these wondrous moments to behold. The beauty blows me away! Your poetry and timing is so abundant! Thank you for sharing these blessings with us! π

I especially liked the photo of the reflection of the rainbow into the water. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like that before. I find it hard getting up early to see the sunrise as well, but often it is worth it.

Hi Frank, it is not a refelction. What I could see was that the rainbos itself curving all the way down and entering the water at the closer edges near the shore. It is arching over the water throughout. Hope it makes sense π
It is worth it yes, when I do put the effort to be up. Thank you very much fro visiting.

You were definitely rewarded with some natural blessings. β¨ I found the presence of what seemed to be rain falling, without a cloud in the sky to be quite extraordinary! The Road to Hana and the lavender fields also left a lasting impression. I would like to return and make it to the Haleakala Summit. π

Road to Hana as if offers personal treasures to visitors at any given time with the abundance of beauty. The lavender fields remained closed while we were there. We did make it to the Haleakala Summit – it was bizarre dramatic even though it was in the middle of the day, it was raining stormily with zero visibility by the time we reached the top. A dozen of us cars just stayed parked until we could feel the safety and courage to turn around and drive back – couldn’t see anything even just next to us. So that was meant to be that π

Oh, what a beautiful post. The pics are stunning, as is your commentary about your experience, and your poem is pure bliss to me. Understood wholly and completely. And this here, β They stun me into silence and a childlike surprise for being chosen for these unexpected prizes for being in the right place at the right time, in the most undramatic manner. β speaks to me most viscerally. The sea is one of the my favorite places on the planet. The resonance and reflectivity available eclipses language. About two years ago on a trip to the beach, I left in awe of this resonance, and remember thinking thatβs me breathing, those beautiful waves, how they dance and play. A glimmer of the majesty you write of so eloquently and beautifully, Pragalbha. I am most grateful for this wonderful post tonight. It spreads love and light, as you always do. Honored and grateful. ππ

Your words feel exuberant to read for how you reflect and amplify where my expressions emerge from. You help me bring the undescribable alive. The ocean is my most favorite place to be too – nothing comes close to how alive I feel when in vicinity. It is utmost treasure, the gift of understanding I receive from you. How did I get so lucky? :)))) Thank you very much Jeff, deep haerfelt Infinite Gratitude.

Oh, Pragalbha, Iβm honored and humbled by your words. Reflecting back my understanding of your experiences is a great joy to me. The emergence of these experiences is the same – I see myself in you; and it makes me so happy to read and resonate with you. Oh, yes, the ocean is like a mirror of our humanity, every ounce of it. When I am near the ocean, it is Divine. The Love is so deep and powerful, there, I am always in awe. I feel the same about the gifts I receive from you, my dear friend. Whenever I read you, the insights come quickly and I am impelled to leave them here. Lucky, am I too. As always, Honored and Grateful. ππ

I, as if, entered a portal of ‘richness’ that your presence through my expressions brought me. I went deeply silent allowing your reflections to seep into my being – and all I could come back with is, how did I get so blessed lucky to get to be read by your unworldly knowing? To have this utmost kind generous gift of what you see in me and my words?
you saw the ocean & the ocean saw you – this was the visceral felt sense experience for me, it just ‘knew’ the waves within me, I have taken multiple short videos of different waves when I felt One with what was happening around me. While the words come out as Power and Beauty in expression, I feel tender mush with humility. I get the word Crazy you use, it is apt for how we get to immerse in the Oneness just from the energy of how these moments get expressed. Thank you for blessing me with your most beautiful awareness and being here _()_

Breathtakingly beautiful Pragalbha .. WOW…. I feel the Universe was showing you her magic being birthed that Nature is doing effortlessly day and night… We who are often too busy to pause and reflect.. Miss such rare and beautiful phenomena.
I am so pleased you got to witness these magical rainbows that help us along our pathway of realisation as we see the Magic surrounds us daily..
I love your muse, and your poetry ..
“The waves within
Are as playful or then unruly
I allow them all to flow “…
Exactly… as we become the wave, and allow all emotions to flow we allow the peace of the ripples of light reflect upon our surface, like the rays of the Sun or Moon on the ocean…
Or we can allow our emotions to crash us on the shore as we scatter our heart-breaks onto the land… But all of those fragments, the spray, those droplets of water, roll on back down from the shore.. Back to the ocean,
All are joined in that vast Ocean of Oneness.. Some are calm, some are angry, some are lost and isolated in the pools on the shoreline.. But all are part of the whole… Never will one ounce of water, never will one soul be lost.. Because all just transforms, like water vapour, evaporating back into the sky/source.. to fall once more as rain, or new-born..
Every rainbow a prism of light activated by the water, emotions of life.. Every Storm, a silver lining somewhere else.. All is One in this Ocean we call Life…
Beautiful Post dear Pragalbha…. Loved every word my friend..

Dear Sue, I am humbled, moved, honored beyond the core and depth of my heart and being to receive this very transcendent comment from you. You pick up the drops of my sentiment and show me the ocean in it, and you open my perception to the entire ocean, a collective of the varied drops – and it gives me a place in the vastness, and the expansiveness itself in my being – you shine this light like only you do. Every molecule of our beings and emotions validated with such kind compassionate truthful seeing into the expressions – that’s what you bring that gives such solace and wisdom to be immersed in. I read your poetic reflections more than once, every few lines repeating and feeling them, how you fulfill my desire to share the magic of these glimpses, that I am not content keeping to myself. Your beautiful appreciation makes a whole world of a difference to me, thank you _()_

We each make a difference dear Pragalbha, your own worlds often uplift me, and inspire me… Life is give and take… Ebb and Flow, like the ocean… Like breathing in and out… One comes automatically after the other..
We find comfort in each others words, and the words themselves are they not given from source… As we tap into that higher Mind vibration, that knows all the answers…
We know all of those same answers.. Its just many of us have forgotten how to access that inner knowing and knowledge… But now I feel many are going to once again learn how to tap into their higher selves and find their own magic within…
Keep spreading your own magic dear Pragalbha…
Much love β€
