Life Waves

The process keeps going life beside
you yearn for a bit longer respite
A sense of having found a ground
maybe for a day and yet again slip down
Another layer being called to shed more,
then called to show up and Be more

Allowing lower energy mind games to penetrate
to become like others around to be able to relate
Showing how attached still to comforts of certainty
then suffering for not being your own self worthily

Feel and sense the divide happening
Grief of as if current reality leaving
Comes with having to keep going
while still staying in your Being

Cusp of opening up from the guardedness
feel the transition and rawness
The waves keep coming yes
you hope you can let go…
Maybe this is how it looks like always
you simply learn to breathe better in calmness

PS : This poem was composed sometime last year from my response to one of Sue Dreamwalker’s post on her profoundly inspirational blog Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary. I realized I had never published it.

    and

“Showing how attached still to comforts of certainty

It makes me think about how we have to go through some pain to give birth to who we are.

    • I liked the same lines.
Another layer being called to shed more,
then called to show up and Be more

.. because that so true in life. We shed, we figure out our life a little. We need more time. But then we have get back to showing up.

I can so relate to this Prgalbha. Many times I feel you are mirroring my contemplative feelings. Only, you put it to words so beautifully my friend.

  8. In the UK we are going to fully open our lockdown on ghec19th July. And omg it is scarey.

These lines you wrote match my feeling right now. I know they aren’t intended for this. But it proves how evergreen and versatile this poem you have written is.

    • Ah it feels absolutely gratifying that you find this poem relevant to you in current circumstances for where you are – it opens up my awareness from this being an internal process to how universal it can be. And I totally relate to the overwhelm over things opening up as if so suddenly from such intense times of staying in and distanced. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and share your thoughts, it truly means a lot to me :))

  9. So beautifully penned Pragalbha…I especially loved the last paragraph…not sure if you wrote it keeping the pandemic in mind or not but it seems really apt for all of us at this current time…💗💗

    • Thank you very much dear friend. Your kind appreciation is such a joy to me. Another comment made me aware how the last paragraph is relevant to the pandemic, and I am so happy you think so too. It is so beautiful to find our own ways to relate to the poem! I was personally more coming from my tendency to be guarded in my ways of being called to show up more authentically, which is often times vulnerable and not comfortable.

  10. I cannot believe I missed this. Huh. Just in observation from my own life, these waves are coming faster and faster now, and leave us at times spinning over and over again. It’s tantamount to find solid ground as quickly as we can and stay there. Loved this poem, Prag, and boy does it apply to my life!!! Keep shining and being the example of light that you are. Much love to you! xo

    • I nodded in agreement with you – the waves are coming faster and faster. I do feel that I get shaken and for a bit look around frantically for a solid ground – to discover after some agony that I am in fact already standing on a new ground. Again and again. Much Gratitude and Love to you always for affirming and supporting the process.

  11. Beautifully written and thoughtful piece, Pragalba. ❤ The "comfort of certainty" seems to me to be one of the worst enemies of personal growth. It takes courage to put yourself out there and be brave enough to challenge long-held beliefs as situations evolve. 🙂 Have a great week!
