Sleep Chaos

Clarity exceeds capacity
Calmness becomes chaos

Dreams keep awake
Sleep alive with dreams

Life itself pulsating, Allow it
To draw you out from within

Float away into the day
It will carry you back

To a good night’s sleep
When you give up the need

    • Rright??? It used to overwhelm me when these no difference in waking, sleeping and dreaming phases first hit me, not knowing what where I am, but now I have become comfortable in welcoming their rich imprints. Thank you so much for such lovely beautiful thoughtful response and appreciation dear Ace.

  2. Makes me think of my vivid dreams…which I often feel like I’m both awake and asleep…Definitely not great sleep on many of those nights. But when I go gently about the day without pushing myself and brain so hard, the night generally comes with a gentle ease. 😊 Beautiful photo and poem!

    • It is an absolute delight to hear from you! Those kind of dreams feel like a continuation of waking life for me, except they are very profound and hold a lot of information for me if I patiently allow them to unravel for me. You describe so perfectly, it so important to surrender to the flow gently and allow it to carry us instead of struggling to get through or fall asleep. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and kind appreciation 🙂

  3. I’m reading this elegant piece of writing as I am about to go asleep, so now I am very curious as to what awaits. I’ll be pleased with whatever experience happens. I feel like smiling 🙂

This photograph of the horizon sits so nicely holding this poem. Above and below are similar and yet different, like sleeping and waking, and day and night. These divisions of experiences can be filled with each other’s elements. Lovely, Pragalbha

    • That you feel like smiling gives me a content smile my friend :)) Wishing you enriching waves of peace and magic through sleep, dream and your day ❣️✨

I truly appreciate your description of how you see the photo – that’s how it came to me, and perhaps the waves might be the dreams/life force trying to wake me to my knowing, through the night and day – and then everything just mixes up in each other in our experience, for it is beyond our mind what really unfolds …thank you for joining me in this contemplation and sharing your thoughts so beautifully 💛✨

  4. I can’t even say why, but these lines “Float away into the day
It will carry you back” really pulled me in. Maybe it feels dream like, or ocean like, or really says how it is. No matter the day, it always ends in night. I’m not sure, just sharing my thoughts on it. 🙂

  5. Wonderful poem on sleep chaos. Float away into the day and it will carry you back. Loved these lines they are so profound. Once you float away in peace and silence then the day will definitely be carrying you away from chaos and one can sleep peacefully. Awesome poem. Loved it.

  6. Surrender. I love this poem, Pragalbha. We are so conditioned to desire this and that, yet, when we learn to give that up, or maye better language is, practice giving that up, surrendering, we get back so much more. Love it.❤️🤗🙏

  7. I’ve been thinking a lot about dreaming, too, the mysterious, often disturbing, but possibly enlightening other world. “Dreams keep awake”– this makes me think of how they cling to my thoughts all day long, if they were vivid. I believe there’s a lot to learn about and from them. BTW beautiful picture as per usual.

    • These ideas have been an interesting mix in my contemplation time and again dear Radhika, I wondered if anything made sense as I posted this poem 🙂 Thank you for appreciating and the picture too.

  8. Love the play of words. Sleep, dreams, and being awake…each state can be paired with the other and it still remains as meaningful, but with a different meaning. “Clarity exceeds capacity, calmness becomes chaos” that is so often the case! 🙂

    • Thank you so much! This contemplation has been fascinating to me time and again. It took me a while to learn to appreciate clarity for what it is and not feel like I have to do something with it. There is so much gratitude available exactly where I am, so why this need for anything else. Also lately I realized chaos is good, it is the shifts that I wanted anyway, why this need for calmness … 🙂
Thank you for highlighting what you did.

  9. These are the words I want to reflect back to you,
    “Allow it
To draw you out from within”
Your words are your treasure. They are there for you each time to accept the blank page and allow them to flow.
Thank you for sharing your journey.
May love and peace land on your today.

  10. Dreams often remind me that there’s so much more to our beings than our conscious thoughts/feelings and daily activities in waking life. You’ve expressed this notion so well, my friend!
