Drink in with your Senses

The peace of pink & purple I can see

The expanse pours in through my ears

The sweet gratitude I smell reaches my heart

All the pores of my skin bloom open

And then seal in the feelings together

That taste of fullness lingers airily on my tongue

Peace, gratitude and expansiveness

Of the pink sky and majestic mountain

Are now part of my being

  2. I know that feeling of drinking with the senses… didn’t Wordsworth experience the same when he saw “a host of daffodils… tossing their heads in sprightly dance”… and became the “bliss of solitude.”
    Beautifully penned thoughts Prag!

    • Haha thank you for your kind appreciation 😊

My honest answer would be “It depends” on so many things like your lifestyle, requirements, quality of your breath.
If I were to generalize (yoga is a highly individual practice) a standing forward bend comes to mind, practiced co-ordinated with your breath – inhale takes the arms up with a slight back arch, shoulders down, exhale bend forward with a long spine, arms moving with torso and reverse your way up coordinated with your breath.

For a strong body that is practiced in form alignment, sun salutations is a good choice because it gives the spine alternate direction movements and involves all major muscles and joints of the body. I emphasize slow movements co-ordinated with long smooth breaths – builds more strength and flexibility in the long run, helps the mind stay calm during and after practice.

Hope this helps in some way 🙏🏼

  4. Oooooo I love this so much!! We’ve been doing lots of family hikes on visits to Sedona lately… going again soon… I love this piece to assist one in how to take it all in… sometimes when the beauty is just so magnificent it is almost too much to take it all in… this serves as a calming epic reminder of how it’s done well… soooooo many favorite parts… but “seal in the feelings” and “now part of my being” are just so lovely. Thank you for this… I can absolutely see me pulling this one out to read again at the beginning of another breathtaking hike. You’ll bless me again and again as I learn to better take it ALL in. Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗

  5. Stunning Photo, almost unreal. Nature is beautiful.

A beautiful poem. Capturing a real spiritual awakening, a freeing moment, a moment of wholeness. Of this is what life is..

Loved the whole poem of course. But especially liked “…Peace, gratitude and expansiveness

Of the pink sky and majestic mountain

Are now part of my being…”

    Beautiful

  6. Oh oh wow!!! I drank your words in and knew just knew how true they are. This is exactly as it is meant to be for Mother has so much to offer us to make our own. Beautifully penned, dear Prag. • Dear Amy you have been an inspiration in opening up to mother nature with all my senses. I am still in kindergarten, only learning to really see and follow the fragrance. I venture out only rarely, but when I do the impact of the beauty is transforming for me. I hope to be in continual flow and be called out to feel the generous magic more consistently. I am so thrilled and grateful that this poem seemed a clear feeling to you as it was to me. It is a glorious gift indeed to get to have this experience. Thank you my friend always.

      • I am only the bearer of the messages, dear friend. It is Mother Herself who transforms. I am thrilled you are understanding how powerful this is. It has been such a joy to watch you get it, then run with it. I’m so very happy for you!!! xo
