Silent Revolution

There is no point in talking to you
I heard them say…
What I really heard was
You just speak the truth

Should I apologize
for my lack of humor…
When it really feels adding to
endless lies we keep telling ourselves

It doesn’t make sense
I heard them say…
What I really heard was
Just say exactly what I want to hear

The time for the heart to sing
its song aloud is ripe
Either you listen
or then silence will speak volumes
The song just keeps rhyming within

The silent revolution
will bring parallel lines intersecting
We are meant to walk on our own
That’s how we find our tribe

The warrior tribe
binding invisible hands
assisting each other
in this intricate
yet well-designed journey
of truth
authenticity
and a lack of deceit

Note: This poem has come from my comment on this post by Sue Dreamwalker of Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary. She has been a deep inspiration and companion for all these blogging years, enlightening and lightening my spiritual and human journey of living with as much truth and authenticity that becomes available in my capacity.

I am very grateful for your continued visits on my previous post while I went on a break. I am yet to find my way to your work that I so love visiting whole-heartedly. I am feeling overwhelmed/sluggish with picking up the momentum of several threads into this new year. You do know I get there eventually, slow and steady I will be there 🙂

  4. Most important stuff first – Happy 2021, PD! Best wishes to you for the year ahead. Cheers to the shoutout for Dreamwalker Sue – a wonderful lady and blogger. As for your post, you took me back to my teaching days as I was often the lone voice calling out hypocrisy and challenging prevailing thought. Very much feeling as the loner on an island. Sure, I would hear supportive thoughts in private, but I knew that behaviors are a more honest view or values than spoken words. Meanwhile, I return Saturday. 🙂

  10. Some will never really hear, so we save our own Song to join in the Dawn Chorus of our own Hearts.. Knowing that we are part of an Orchestra much bigger than ourselves.. And that our Silence is from whence we came… and Silence is where we shall return… And what we think is silence… Is filled with Musical notes.. 😀 Each residing on their own particular scale… Each note on its own not all that appealing… But when joined together with other notes.. Makes for a beautiful Symphony

  11. Silent are the words of Silence and your silence is profound and every stanza was inspiring in itself. Being in Silence is a feeling of quietitude. Sue is a great motivator and I too love all her posts. Happy New Year to you and your family, Pragalbha. Have a great year ahead.

  14. I love how your poem opens with words that weren’t said, but were understood. The first three stanzas highlight how we can be honest with ourselves even when others are not honest with us. Powerful thoughts. I also appreciate your line about finding “our tribe” and I agree, sometimes we need to walk alone before we find the right tribe, or they find us. Best to you. 💐

  20. The sad truth and gas lighting of not tolerating someone’s opinion. They don’t want people being real but toeing the line. This poem is powerful and m sure based on observation as well. A resounding slap to those who prefer status quo and afraid of healthy engagement.

  22. Passing by, I got arrested by that wonderful photo. I must acknowledge you for that.

    These lines, and I quote, resonated with me:

    ‘The silent revolution
    will bring parallel lines intersecting
    We are meant to walk on our own
    That’s how we find our tribe’

    Indeed the power of a revolution is when we are able to make lines, which would normally never meet, intersect. What would the overarching vision need to be to make that possible?

    How often we say what other people expect to hear, just to prevent them from thinking we’re strange.

    We, as humans, are not unlike all of nature. Each of us have our own seasons and cycles. I hope you take care of your precious heart. Write when the urge arises and trust in your own voice. You have your own way to travel.
    This is a beautiful poem and, as shown in all that have commented, speaks to many.
    This is the part that spoke to me,
