Sure I will eat my words So they don't bother you I will eat them all So I don't look for morsels of your approval Question is Will you be able to Drink my silence?
This is the original picture that I used for the above image. The lake was frozen solid in silence and clarity –

Wishing you all a beautiful transition through this powerful winter solstice, may the darkness take you into rich silence, ushering a renewed peace & harmony in your being.

Hmm, sometimes, it’s better to say nothing at all no matter how much we may want to. But I love this so much, I had to read it a couple of times.

Oh how I relate to that. But if they cannot handle our words, the only other option is deal with our silence π

Your words are visceral!
Eating our words affects our bodies profoundly and can feel like stuffing emotions if we havenβt processed anger or resentment. Learning to keep silent can feel overwhelming if weβre not feeling at peace about our silence!
If weβre at peace with our emotions silence can feel very releasing, instead of feeling drawn into drama!
My daughter and I are going to be facing some people soon who we have many words weβd like to say to them, but saying the words wonβt change the other people or what happened in the past. Saying the words would just inflame our emotions and make it harder for us.
Silence will be our strength and help us to gracefully get through that day.

Holidays are especially difficult times, as we face our own emotions and people who might trigger them, as much as these times are about creating joyful moments together. I totally hear you. I am grateful for the sense of empowerment I felt as the words came to me – when we grow into our own being truly with sovereignty, the need for approval or validation falls off, making silence a very intentional and peaceful choice. People then sense this difference and powerful energy in us. It is often to avoid their discomfort we do not embrace this empowered attitude. I am learning to be on my growth curve without explanations – only kindness, love and words only if they are required/received. So there is no accumulation of emotions. I have found it to be enough to express to myself truthfully. Wishing you utmost ease and joy through your day π Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Your words bring out deep thoughts and wisdom Pragalbha…solstice enjoyed in silent solitude….I would love that. Without the bother of approval or acknowledgement, such conversations with self then would be enlightening.

Will you be able to drink my silence? Now that’s a question very few will be able to answer. I see power behind the words of resignation and silence. Love it.

This is beautiful, P, and captures well an experience we all have felt sometimes–those instances in which we feel like people both want us to talk and they don’t want to hear what we have to say. Thank you. The picture is gorgeous, too.

So much was said in those few words… So much..
My own silence here, is knowing I could not add to them.. For they are perfect..
As is the reflection, the image of the frozen lake…
The cliff face… Stark, silent also, standing proud and tall… powerful, unmoving. yet its edges soften within its own reflection..
We often after reflection soften our edges… Too often we can be too harsh upon ourselves.. It takes the power of water, the glistening of tears shed, to shape us so that we really look within to see our inner beauty.. Which was there all along..
But it took us to really look at our reflection to see it… π
Bless you my dear dear friend… Thank you dear Pragalbha… for your friendship and your beautiful support…
Have a blessed Christmas… Knowing all is unfolding as it should, as it heralds in the changes needed..
Love and Hugs Sue β€ πππππ

You truly brought the picture alive with the imagery of the poetry words. So beautiful and so deep is this thought process around our silence and our expressions. Often both become synonymous for what needs to be conveyed. I appreciate the power and clarity of it all. Thank you so much – your visit is so precious always. I am so grateful for our connection. Happy Holidays & Lots of Love.
